- I just want a simple site and other web designers have been unaffordable. Do you build small, affordable sites?
Yes. We are more than capable of building large, complicated sites but we specialize in building smaller sites for small businesses and individuals. Our most basic package starts at just $300 (not including hosting and domain costs).
- I have a pretty large project in mind. Can your company handle that?
Yes. Cain Designs can usually handle anything you can throw our way. We have built large sites for such clients as Oklahoma State University, Ohio International Trumpet Guild, and many others. We can build databases, content management systems, flash applications, and much more. For examples of our work please visit the portfolio page.
- I just need a logo or other graphic designed, not a whole website. Can you do that?
Yes. Just let us know what you need and we will work with you to design graphics and/or logos that suit your needs and fit the image and brand of your business or site.
- Will you design a logo as part of our website?
Yes. We offer that service as part of our web design packages.
- Is your pricing fair?
We think so. Most web designers charge by the hour and the average web designer will charge anywhere between $20-40 per hour or even more. This can get expensive fast and prices many people right out of the market for a website. We charge flat fees and you can see exactly what we charge for everything on our Pricing page.
- What is the process of getting a website made like?
It can be a little different for each client but these are the basic aspects:
*Get a hosting and domain account
*Talk about vision, image, brand, colors, what the site will be about, etc.
*Create graphics (and logo if necessary)
*Create a template that the client likes
*Plug in content
*Make any necessary changes
*client is invoiced
- What are hosting and domains?
Hosting is essentially buying internet real estate. It gives you space on the web to put a site. Domains are the URLS (example: www.caindesigns.net). You have to purchase both of these in order to have a website.
- Does Cain Designs provide hosting and domain services?
Yes. As of April 2011 Cain Designs has started offering this service because so many clients wanted it. We will set up and maintain your hosting and domain accounts for you and we will bill you monthly, quarterly, or annually for the hosting fees in addition to a one-time set-up fee that will only appear on your first bill. - What about getting my site updated after it's built?
There are two options here. You can contact me for updates as you need them. I charge $75 for these updates. If you know you will need frequent monthly updates you can sign up for our maintenance plan. I will invoice you for $50 a month and you can get all the updates you need for that price; just contact me with the information you want updated.
Some clients prefer to update their sites themselves. This is fine. If you do not know how to update or maintain your site we offer training services.
